WOMEN HAVE THEIR VERY OWN DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE?!
As we celebrate the signing of the Declaration Of Independence this holiday, let us not forget that the struggle for true freedom did not end there in 1776.
At the World’s Fair on July 4th 1876, the Suffragettes took a stand, led by this incredible woman, Matilda Joslyn Gage! They presented the Vice President of the United States, as well as all the fair-goers, with “The Declaration of Rights of the Women of the United States” written by Gage, Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton. We included a link to the original document here, it really is a must read!

This document was a key proponent to the Women’s Rights Movement and helped to create the liberty and success that American Women now hold proudly and continue to gain ground on daily.
